Hiking with an english speaking Guide:

A.A.R is your best choice if you:

• want to go on guided hikes or treks on the island, only yourself, or with your partner, your family, your friends or your colleagues
  
• wish to join an existing hiking group (see also our current outings)
  
• would need advice or help for preparing to hike on your own

We can offer you:

• knowledgeable registered guides who love this island and speak several languages
• perfect organisation of the trips and overcoming of all problems which may show up during an outing
• more than 800 kms of regularly maintained hiking trails in addition to at least 100 kms of hidden trails
• a breathtaking nature, mountains with peaks higher than 3000 m (10.000 ft), an active volcano, virgin rain forest with a flora unique in the world, the famous cirques*, a wild coast, meetings with locals, Creole culture  and cuisine and much more.

To open your eyes and to have access to all the details, you need a guide. Don't miss a  big part of the miracles of our island !

* three huge volcanic calderas: Mafate, Cilaos and Salazie. This kind of "Cirques" you can find nowhere else in the world.

Valid from 1st of january to 31st of march 2023 

• for guided day hikes with a french-speaking guide we charge you 180 € for a group of not more than 4 adults. For groups > 4 adults it is 40 €/person
• for half-day outings (< 4 hours), the price is 120 €, for groups > 4 adults: 25 €/person
• a supplement * will be applicable for additional services: meals, transport, language other than french, etc., as well as for services on Sundays, public holidays or during high season **
• these prices concern outings in the south and in the west of the island. For activities in the north and east an expense fee will be demanded (excepted for trekking).
• for trekking outings lasting several days (crossing the island, discovering Mafate ...): there will be additional costs for accommodation and food. For detailed information please get in touch with us !
• scheduled outings have a special pricing
• free for children < 13 years old ***, reduced price for teenagers < 17 years old
• the price for planning your self-guided hikes depends on the length of your route and the specific services you request. For more information please get in touch with us !

These prices are exclusive to private persons and do not apply to tour operators or other companies or associations.
